Richmond Alake

A leading AI educator helping practitioners understand complex systems—and build with them.

Richmond has spent the past seven years teaching artificial intelligence and machine learning through practical courses, technical writing, talks, and developer programmes. He teaches on O'Reilly and DeepLearning.AI—the education platform founded by Andrew Ng—turning emerging topics into knowledge engineers can put to work.

He is Director of AI Developer Experience at Oracle and previously served as an AI/ML Developer Advocate at MongoDB. Across both roles, his teaching, technical programmes, and open-source work have enabled AI teams and practitioners at leading technology companies to move from ideas and prototypes toward production-ready intelligent systems.

Richmond created MemoRizz, an open-source Python library for persistent agent memory, and the #100DaysOfAgentMemory series. He has spoken at the AI Engineer World's Fair, DeveloperWeek, Confluence, and Monki Gras, with work spanning agent memory, harness engineering, production LLM applications, computer vision, and deep learning.
